Ballet
Ballet offers a timeless foundation built on grace, strength, and emotional expression. Students experience the lightness and flow of Classical Ballet while developing posture, alignment, and technique that support every other style of dance. Whether someone is stepping into their first plié or returning with experience, instruction is delivered with nurturing and caring attention that makes progress feel natural and builds confidence.
Ballet classes for boys create space for strength, focus, and discipline to grow in a way that supports both dance and athletics. The structure and clarity of ballet often enhance performance in sports by improving balance, core stability, agility, and concentration.
Families appreciate how Simple, Easy, and Convenient it feels to see their dancer settling into a routine that strengthens both body and mind while building friendships that last.
Classes:
Ballet I for ages 9-14 with experience. Mondays 4:30pm, Tuesdays 5:30pm, Saturdays 10:00 am
Teen Ballet for ages 11-15 no experience necessary. This is a great place to start with other teens and not be with younger students if you desire! Tuesdays at 5:30 pm
Advance Ballet I , Ballet II, Ballet III by placement ages 10 and older
Contemporary Dance
Contemporary Dance gives your dancer the freedom to move, explore, and express emotions in a way that feels authentic and empowering. It’s a style using ballet, jazz and modern, that builds confidence by encouraging bold choices, creative risk-taking, and a deeper understanding of how the body tells a story.
Classes focus on growing skills in technique, musicality, floor work, improvisation, and expressive movement—all supported with nurturing and caring guidance that helps each dancer feel safe, supported, and inspired. Along the way, students naturally create friendships through shared creativity, collaboration, and meaningful artistic moments.
Performance opportunities allow them to step into the spotlight and showcase their individuality, artistry, and hard work.

Jazz
Jazz is full of personality, rhythm, and expressive movement. Students discover a blend of ballet’s elegant lines and tap’s percussive energy, shaped by Broadway and street-dance influences. Jazz encourages freedom and theatricality while helping dancers master clean technique, strong musicality, and dynamic performance skills.
This style is ideal for students who love to move with passion, learn choreography that feels exciting, and experience confidence building each time they master a new combination. The warm, welcoming class environment makes it easy to form friendships and enjoy steady, supported growth.

Modern
Modern Dance invites students to move with authenticity. Through floor work, breath, spirals, suspension, and release, dancers explore their natural impulses and the expressive capability of the body. Modern strengthens flexibility, control, and artistic sensitivity while encouraging dancers to connect deeply with momentum, space, and emotion.
This style supports growing skills while nurturing individuality, making it especially meaningful for students who want to explore creativity in a caring, supportive environment. Classes provide room for personal expression while maintaining structure that encourages technique and confidence to develop with each class.

Musical Theater Class
Give your performer a place to shine through singing, acting, and dancing. Musical Theater builds confidence, helping students express themselves boldly and joyfully, all within a nurturing and caring environment where every student feels supported.
Classes focus on growing skills—character work, movement, storytelling, and voice projection —and the excitement of bringing scenes and songs to life. Along the way, students naturally create friendships through teamwork, laughter, and shared creativity.
Performance opportunities offer a wonderful chance to step into the spotlight and celebrate progress with family and friends.

Enrollment is Simple, Easy, and Convenient, giving yourself a space to explore artistry and feel proud.
Tap
Tap turns the body into a rhythmic instrument. Students learn to create clear, dynamic sounds through intricate and expressive footwork. Tap enhances timing, coordination, precision, and musical understanding—and it brings a joyful sense of accomplishment when students hear their rhythm take shape.
This All-American dance style is enjoyed by children, teens, and adults alike. The friendly, upbeat atmosphere helps students build confidence while connecting with others who enjoy learning at a lively pace.

Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop offers an energizing and empowering experience rooted in street-dance culture. Students learn foundational grooves, footwork, isolations, and combinations that let them express themselves freely while building strength, stamina, and musicality.
Hip-Hop creates a natural sense of community—students support one another, cheer each other on, and grow friendships through shared movement. Every class becomes an exciting space where confidence building feels effortless and progress comes with a sense of pride.

Conditioning
Conditioning supports dancers and non-dancers alike in building strength, flexibility, alignment, and body awareness. Inspired by Pilates, this class focuses on controlled movements that lengthen muscles, stabilize the core, and improve overall technique.
Students quickly notice more confidence in their movement, better posture, and greater ease in dance classes and everyday life. Conditioning is a nurturing and caring environment where progress feels gradual and sustainable. It’s also a helpful way to reduce injury risk and support longevity in every style of dance.

African Dance
African Dance is a vibrant celebration of rhythm, culture, and community. Students explore traditional movement styles from Guinea and the Sene-Gambia region while discovering the storytelling, spirituality, and joy woven into each step.
Classes offer a powerful way to experience connection to music, to shared energy, and to the uplifting presence of others. Students build confidence, musicality, stamina, and expressive freedom while enjoying a warm, welcoming environment that honors cultural richness.
The lively spirit of African Dance creates an atmosphere where dancers of all ages feel inspired, energized, and supported.

Summers: Tuesdays 2:00-3:30 pm (five weeks)
Looking for Ballet for Boys?
Imagine your son stepping into a space designed just for him—an encouraging, positive environment where confidence building feels natural and friendships come easily. All-Boys’ Ballet offers a place where boys grow skills rooted in strength, coordination, and artistry, all while feeling supported and understood.
Your dancer will explore powerful jumps, clean turns, and the strong posture that helps him shine on stage. Classes also focus on upper-body strength to prepare him for the athletic demands of dance, including future partnering skills like lifts and assists. It all feels Simple, Easy, and Convenient for families while nurturing a sense of pride and accomplishment.
This program lays a solid, athletic foundation—flexibility, coordination, strength—woven together with technique and expressive movement. It’s a path that helps young men discover confidence, develop artistry, and step toward their full potential as dancers and individuals.

School Policies
We encourage new students and their families to have a look at our policies and to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Inclement Weather
In case of inclement weather, please call the studio line 216-295-2222. If you gave your email address at registration, we will send out timely notices when possible.
If the Shaker Heights schools are closed, the classes prior to 3:00 PM will be canceled. Evening classes will be determined by road conditions and weather reports. Please call the studio line for updates.
As always we ask for parents and students to use their best judgment, as your safety is our chief concern during these times. For class make-up information, please refer to the CCD make-up policy.
